A collection of silver. A pair of Victorian bonbon baskets, an Edwardian Chester wavy edged bowl, a further basket, a butter dish, a further tobacco / butter dish,. Long amber-coloured cheroot holder with a gold end, marked 375 from AF & Co and in original box. A silver butter knife. A basting spoon, marks not recognised and an EPNS ladle. Weighable silver 13 troy oz. Condition; The pair of baskets are of light gauge and reasonable condition, with a few tarnish spots and nicks beneath the rim, perhaps purposefully so to de-strain. Birmingham 1897, Henry Matthews. The wavy edged bowl is dated 1907 and marked for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester. Condition is good. The smaller basket and two dishes are good- one dish engraved as a presentation piece from a tobacco company. All are C20th Birmingham. The butter knife is rough. The cheroot holder and box are about right for age, with no obvious damage, the gold is clean. The basting spoon is in good condition with no damage, a few tarnish spots and wear to high point of back of bowl with a little bleed through. It is marked WWHS in script plus a crown over EP. The ladle is heavy gauge and worn.
